About Me
I specialize in user experience and user interface design. I am currently employed at CVS as a UX/UI design manager working on the MinuteClinic application as well as a wide array of other projects. I have experience in user research, application design, design thinking, accessibility, and user testing.
Product Thinking & Design Principles
I use design thinking and user-centered design to move from ambiguity to clear, testable solutions across the full product design lifecycle. I start by understanding the problem in context—aligning stakeholders, defining success metrics, and learning directly from users through research and behavioral data. From there, I translate insights into opportunity areas, map flows, and prototype concepts quickly to explore alternatives and reduce risk. I validate direction with usability testing and iteration, then partner closely with product and engineering to ship accessible, scalable UI that fits the design system. After launch, I measure outcomes, monitor feedback, and continuously improve—treating design as an ongoing cycle of discovery, delivery, and refinement tied to real user and business impact.
Product Design Life Cycle
-
Discover: Understand the problem space through user research, analytics, support insights, and stakeholder input. Identify unmet needs and constraints.
-
Define: Synthesize findings into clear problem statements, target users, JTBD, hypotheses, and success metrics (user + business).
-
Ideate: Generate multiple solutions, map flows, sketch concepts, and explore tradeoffs with the team.
-
Prototype: Create low→high fidelity prototypes to test ideas quickly (interaction, IA, content, visual direction).
-
Validate: Run usability tests, concept tests, and experiments (A/B or MVP) to confirm value, clarity, and feasibility.
-
Design for Delivery: Finalize UI specs, component usage, accessibility, edge cases, and responsive behavior; align with engineering.
-
Build & QA: Support implementation, review builds, resolve UX issues, and ensure quality (visual, interaction, performance).
-
Launch: Release with documentation, enablement, and measurement plan; monitor early signals.
-
Measure & Iterate: Track KPIs, gather feedback, identify improvements, and cycle back into discovery for continuous improvement.
